Export License

The US Government requires an Export License for shipment of the Mark 4 FDVI All Fiber Doppler Velocity Interferometer System to certain countries. The Mark 4 FDVI is considered to be one of the class of instruments described under ECCN 6A225. See Export Regulations, Part 738 Commerce Control List Overview and the Country Chart to determine whether an Export License is required.

The various Photodetector modules are not identified with an ECCN number and are available with no export license requirements.

Obtaining the Export License

If an Export License is required for shipment to the End Userís Country, the purchaser or end user may apply for this Export License on it's own, through an independent agency, through diplomatic channels, or in any manner the purchaser wishes to pursue.

Alternatively, we at M,F&A will, at the purchaserís request, engage a professional agency here in the US to pursue the same. The fee for this service is US$ 3,000. This fee is not refundable, but the amount will be credited toward the purchase price if the Export License is granted and the purchase is consumated.

The end user will need to submit Form BIS-711 and perhaps other information or documents as required for the Export License application. The agent will explain and expedite this process.

We will initiate the Export License Application process upon receipt of a Purchase Order and the initial fee (US$ 3,000.)
